2012 goals // february update

1. photo-a-day project of hubby and me.
- i'm still doing well with this project; however, i missed 2 days in the month of february: the day we came back from vacation and the day after.
- 97%.

2. 100 day thrifting challenge.
- i'm still doing excellent with this challenge!
- in the month of february, i purchased a vintage clutch, 8 gold necklaces / chains, 2 skirts, and a button up shirt... all second hand from kensington market.
- i'm still wearing my thrifted items every day.
- 100%.

3. savings goal + rewards!
- i still think i'm on the right track but, because it is rrsp season in canada, i've been saving all my money to contribute to my rrsp.
- at the beginning of the year, i decided that funds transferred to my rrsp would not count towards my savings goal.
- 50%.

4. one new beauty product per month.
- i am now subscribed to 3 beauty boxes plus i signed up to be a julep maven.
- not only that but i purchased 9 nail polishes and a bunch of cosmetics (yet to arrive) from beyond the rack.
- 0%.

i am very disappointed in myself and considered scraping this goal altogether but one of my youtube subscribers reminded me that i set this goal for a reason so i am going to try to stick with it from march onward. i originally set this goal because i have so many cosmetics and i want to start using them up before i buy more. it's easy to accumulate a ton of beauty products and, in the interest of using the products i already have, not adding clutter to our tiny condo, and saving some money, i decided to limit my purchases in 2012. a big thanks to tiritaniya for providing me with some much needed clarity!

5. one litre of water per day.
- in addition to cutting out coffee last month, i also cut out hot tea!
- i am still drinking chinese tea with chinese food, green tea with japanese food, and iced tea from time to time.
- it is fairly easy for me to drink 1 litre of water now so i am going to start upping my goal.
- 95% because i'm sure i fell short at least once or twice during the month.

6. figure out the mess that is my hair.
- in february, i learned to do loose beachy waves and also a quick, work approriate style (curl the ends of my hair and put a nice wave in my bangs so they stay out of my face).
- 100%.

7. decorate, de-clutter & re-organize.
- in february, i organized a big box of old papers (employment and tax files).
- 75% because i slacked a little bit and didn't do a lot of the items on my list.

8. keep a better record of events.
- i am still loving my hard copy planner.
- 100%!

i feel very motivated for the spring... hopefully, this will translate into success with my goals in march! :)
