March 2014 Dior Polished Diva Unboxing

I've been a bad, bad blogger. I don't know why I can't seem to stick to a regular schedule when it comes to blogging. I've tried writing posts in advance and scheduling them, I've tried setting aside time to blog, I've tried marking my calendar with posts I want to do on specific days... still, I fall behind. How do you amazingly consistent bloggers manage to post so frequently? Please share your secrets!

Here is my long overdue Dior Polished Diva March unboxing. I received a beautiful shade called Bouquet, which is also from the Spring 2014 Trianon collection. It's a gorgeous bright coral-pink with a cream finish. The application is lovely - the big brush and highly pigmented polish allowed for opacity in 2 coats. While I love this shade, I think it would be quite easy to find a dupe for it. Once I finish swatching my nail polish collection, I will see if I can indeed find one.

In case you'd like to see my thoughts on the first 3 Dior Polished Diva polishes in video format, here is my Q1 unboxing! :)

  1. So pretty! Great review of the subscription and the polishes :) That Perle one is gorgeous!

Sorry I wish I could tell you the secret to consistent blogging but I haven't figured it out yet even though I have been pretty consistent :P I usually try to make time to write at least every day - even if I don't finish a post. At least if I have a few drafts going then I can just finish them up. I think I have ADD now and can never seem to just sit down and write a full post all at one time. Don't worry about it too much - just try to balance blogging and life as much as you can ;)

    1. if i could just have a quarter of your consistency, i would be very happy!! definitely need to balance blogging and life... i've even started slowing down on youtube because i haven't been very motivated to record. i'm thinking i'll try to record a few videos today so i don't fall behind. there just aren't enough hours in the day!

  2. This shade is gorgeous on you :D
lol that's how I feel about making videos! I think we're opposites in that sense. I set aside a day where I focus on queuing blog posts good enough for a few weeks. I need to figure out how to set aside time for filming!

    1. wow!! i may give that a try where i queue blog posts for a longer period of time. sometimes i can do 1-2 in advance but i've never been able to line them up for a few weeks. blogging takes me so long... not sure why! haha i think i'm probably in the minority with thinking youtube is easier. :)

  3. Oh Dior. All the polishes always look so pretty! This shade is going to be so hot this season!
As for blogging consistently...I won't lie. For me, it's easily an additional 25 hours a week on top of my 44 hours of work. I try to have 2-3 blog posts done on my days off and schedule them throughout the week. When I come back from work, I follow up and email PR peeps and have a calendar with my blogging schedule on it. I love staying in a lot so blogging sort of works for me in that sense. I don't know what I would do if I had kids or a more active social life. I guess I'd blog less! It's hard to make time though once you have a real job and a family (aka husband and cats). I should have started when I was just a student and had the time!

    1. oh yes, when i was putting out videos more consistently, i would easily spend that amount of time on top of my full time job! i don't have much involvement with brands/PR so at least that saves me a little time. i am going to try to split my time a little better between my blog and youtube... although my blog is slowly turning into a more personal one rather than product-focussed. i'm still not sure what i want to do with it! i too started when i was already working full time and it's difficult to stay consistent. i still love it though - it's such a fun hobby! :)
