Punk'd Up Betty - by Pretty and Polished

Just a quick post today! A little while ago, I tried another polish from Pretty and Polished. This one is called Punk'd Up Betty.

Overall, I do like this polish; however, I think I will wear it as a glitter topcoat next time rather than trying to use it as a full coverage polish. I applied three coats in the above photo and there were still lots of gaps. It also became really thick, chunky, and 3D looking... which reminded me a little of caviar nails. That being said, I love that there is tons of glitter in this polish and I'm eager to play around with it some more.

To see all the polishes I purchased from Pretty and Polished, check out my recent haul.

    1. i'm definitely going to give that a try next time. it looked so good on chalkboard nails as a full coverage polish, i was like, "why not meeee?!" haha. it must be all in the technique.

  3. Do you have trouble removing glitter polish? As much as I love glitter polish, it's so hard to take off even with the cotton/foil method.

    1. oh yes, i have a lot of trouble removing glitter polish. i actually tried the foil method for the first time to take off this manicure because i was not about to spend an hour rubbing/picking at my nails! it worked pretty well; however, with the prep and wait time, it probably did not save me much time.

jayne from cosmetic proof (in one of the comments above) mentioned the elmer's glue method on her blog... basically putting a thin layer of glue on the nail before applying the glitter polish. then you can just peel it off when you're ready to remove the glitter. sounds easy (and fun, haha). i may try that in the future...
